Something to be proud of, worked at, taken seriously and developed like any other vocation.

Today, you can receive federally backed certifications in sales, university degrees in sales and can be part of a community of sales people like anything else. Like engineers, doctors, lawyers or any other professional practice sales is a serious business. You can make more money and climb to greater business heights in sales than almost any other profession in existence today. More people worldwide are engaged in some for of professional selling on a daily business than any other profession and many of the world's leaders from business, government or other have at some point within their career been employed as a sales person.

The Sales Nation is for those professional sales people wish to see our great profession come out from behind the label of "Used Cars" and take the lead in the future of business. It is for those who recognize that sales gives you what you put into it and we are all responsible for our success and our failure. The Sales Nation is a place where we can collaborate, discuss and set the future of sales theory, sales practice and sales culture.

Fundamentally, The Sales Nation is for those who want to break what has become the status quo within our industry. Sales people require professional accountability. Sales people should perform or be removed from our industry, just like any other profession. No longer can sales people who don't hit their target be allowed to exist and bring the profession we work so hard to maintain down.

Some within the sales industry will most defineatly not agree with what will be posted within this forum. Some do not like the light which will be shone upon their behavior and efforts. It is for those that this Nation is started. You should not be in sales because you are not a professional sales person and do not deserve to be in the company of those who work hard and hold this profession to the highest standards.

To the rest of us. We can make sales professional, respected and accountable. We can hold ourselves and eachother to higher standards. We can lead a new generation of sales forward from this point on. I know there are lots of you out there doing this already and have been for sometime, we need to collect and bring together all of our knowledge and efforts and start creating an industry we can all be proud of, and industry we can hold our heads up and proclaim our involvement in. This Nation is yours. Communicate, share, ask questions and push the traditional boundries of what is possible within our profession.

Our Nation Unites Today.

SN Editor.
